Description
We are looking for a talented Freelance Rigger to join our team on a contract basis. You will be responsible for creating high-quality rigs for various animals and creatures, including quadrupeds, for our Unreal Engine 5 project.
This is a remote freelance opportunity, ideal for someone who is flexible with their schedule, and experienced in rigging animals and complex creatures.
Responsibilities
- Design and create advanced rigs for animals and quadrupeds tailored to our project’s animation and gameplay requirements.
- Work closely with animators to ensure rigs are animation-ready and meet project specifications.
- Address animator feedback and make adjustments to rigs to ensure optimal usability.
- Ensure all rigs are optimized for real-time performance within the Unreal Engine 5 environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Rigger, with a strong portfolio showcasing animal and quadruped rigs (video demos preferred).
- Strong experience in rigging for Unreal Engine, particularly with creatures and animals.
- Strong understanding of animal anatomy and movement, with experience creating rigs for quadrupeds and other multi-legged creatures.
- Proficiency with industry-standard 3D rigging tools such as Maya, Blender, or similar (Blender preferred).
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5’s Control Rig and Animation Blueprints is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with skinning and weight painting for smooth deformations in animals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide regular progress updates.
